The Camino is a 10-day, 260-kilometer supported slack-pack walk scheduled to coincide with the annual Namaqualand wildflower season. This journey takes you through a spectacular inland route in the western part of the Kamiesberg Klipkoppe to the coastal section of the Namaqua National Park. The days spent along the coast offer easy walks with ample time to enjoy the unspoiled Namaqualand coastline. This is a slack-pack walk, with a tent, stretcher, mattress, and comfortable camping chair provided for each participant. The daily stages vary between 21 and 30 km, and we pitch camp at a different location every night. Please note: This walk is difficult at times, so you will need to prepare in advance to ensure you are walking fit."

Why must I use the bags supplied by Namaqua Camino? The Namaqua Camino Group has designed a customised bag that is functional and large enough to accommodate everything you need on the Namaqua Camino walks It also serves to regulate the size and quantity of each hiker's luggage The use of two bags is included in the cost but should you wish to receive your bags beforehand, you can purchase one or two new bags. You will need two bags, one for your clothes and personal items and the other for sleeping gear The cost to purchase a bag is R600.00 plus delivery fees.
